Fadzi Kasambira

Thriller writer. Physician. Storyteller.

About Fadzi

Fadzi has always been a writer. He penned his first book, "The Legis Manor," when he was 10 years old. It did not, sadly, go on to be a bestseller. But he continues to strive toward that goal. He continued to write short stories and half-finished novels throughout university and medical school, publishing several creative nonfiction pieces. It was during the pandemic in 2020 that he finally completed a manuscript and managed to find a literary agent.  He's written three more books since then and continues to strive to be traditionally published.

Zimbabwean-American journalist Nashe Mareya is stunned by the brutal slaying of a notorious former cop in their quiet part of wealthy Bethesda, Maryland. Convinced that the murderer is a local teacher, Nashe focuses on proving the man’s guilt after the teacher admits that he and the dead former cop shared an unthinkable secret.

There was a witness to the murder: Saniya, a brilliant, Black premed student who tutors the daughter of Nashe’s affluent sister-in-law. When the police investigation into the former cop’s death begins to edge closer to Nashe himself, his desperate search for proof of the teacher’s guilt leads him toward an unexpected collision with Saniya.

Soon, they both realize the stakes are more dire than anyone in this suburban community could have imagined.
